The Mangy Moose Saloon will host a variety of music this summer. In addition to our special weekend guests, we have local performers playing free dinner music in the Saloon several days of the week. Dinner music starts at 7pm, and night shows begin at 9pm.
Mondays – The WYKNOTTS
Tuesdays – Stackhouse
Wednesdays – Mountain Town Lounge Jazz with Madelaine German and Leif Routman
Thursdays – Wendy Colona
Louisiana Native and Austin, TX resident, Wendy Colonna has a signature voice of grit-infused-honey and her songs echo swampy-southern tales of loss, mortality, joy, reclaimed innocence and celebration.
Free show begins at 7pm, all ages
Recently featured in the New York Times, Screen Door Porch delivers a fusion of soulful Americana, gritty Roots-Rock and Country-Blues akin to “Stevie Nicks meets The Band, with Ryan Adams and Bonnie Raitt hanging out backstage.” Grooving, electrified porch music with a breadth of instrumentation for just four people—acoustic/electric/slide guitars, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and kazoogle reinforced by fretless bass and drums. The core female/male singer-songwriter pair of Seadar Rose & Aaron Davis thrive in a space that houses rustic harmonies and “a sort of Lennon/McCartney arrangement and get it right every time” (Americana UK). Wyatt Lowe & The Mayhem Kings are a cocktail mix of vintage 50s rockabilly/blues and “Analog Rock N Roll.” Think Social Distortion and Chuck Berry meets Jimmie Vaughan. 2 bands for the price of 1 plus collaborations!
